Qigong for physical and mental well-being – Clare Marshall

Qigong is a gentle form of exercise that promotes balance of the body, mind, and spirit. Even though Qigong has its origins in ancient China, and is a non-combative martial art, current scientific research demonstrates that it is beneficial for both physical and mental health.

Qigong promotes good movement patterns and posture with reduced effort and energy, making movement more efficient. Amongst other attributes, it improves focus, concentration, flexibility, balance, muscle strength and immunity. It promotes improved sleep and energy and reduces pain, anxiety, and depression, hence improving quality of life.

Clare Marshall, a qualified physiotherapist, specializes in Qigong and Tai Chi for Health, offering accessible and safe programs suitable for individuals of all fitness levels, including those with medical conditions. The programmes are accessible to most and are as strenuous as walking, they can be done in standing or sitting and are a safe way to exercise with or without medical conditions and can be done alongside medical treatment.
Qigong is a tool to work on wellbeing. It is meditation in motion and may be medication in motion!

In the latter part of our workshop, Linda Hodgkinson, a certified leadership and wellbeing coach, will guide you through practices to reduce overload and stress while equipping you with practical self-care strategies. Linda’s expertise in navigating life’s transitions will empower you to unlock your potential for a healthier, more fulfilling life. Her wellbeing coaching offers valuable resources for those seeking to elevate their overall quality of life. Through her guidance, support, and structured approach, you’ll be empowered to make lasting, positive changes to your wellbeing.

As a coach, Linda is dedicated to helping you accomplish your aspirations, overcome barriers to performance, or facilitate personal development. Her one-on-one coaching sessions, offered both in-person and remotely, focus on enhancing all aspects of your life and work, regardless of your industry or personal goals.

Our inclusive workshop environment provides a comfortable and safe space for to explore different ways to develop and enhance your wellbeing.
